Update on software error in REGAL

We have established that the error in the REGAL software does affect our published results. We are in the process of reviewing our analysis and will be publishing a correction article shortly. We apologize for any inconvenience to readers in the interim.

Potential problems with REGAL software

We have been notified that an error exists in the version of the REGAL software that was uploaded to BMC Bioinformatics. We are investigating the nature of the error and its impact on the software and our published results.
