Edge confidence estimation for the ALARM network The horizontal axis is the frequency threshold above which an edge is said to be
present. The left-hand vertical axis is the number of edges. The solid blue line is
the total number of edges. The faint purple lines are the number of edges found for
each of 60 independent permuted data sets. The solid red line is the average number
of edges found in the permuted data sets. The solid yellow line is the difference
between the total number of edges and the average number of edges in the permuted
datasets. The right-hand vertical axis is the confidence that an edge is real. The
solid green line is the confidence associated with an edge found at the threshold
concerned.
